WHEN TO APPLY AND IMPORTANT INFO FOR GCAC TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS:

  • Scholarship applications are due within 45 days of submitting the program application and deposit.
    First-time applicants receive priority funding.
Students may receive a GCAC scholarship for a maximum of two programs.

HOW MUCH DO TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS COVER?

  • Amounts vary and are based on quality of the application and need of the applicant.
  • The maximum scholarship amount awarded will not exceed 1/2 of the total program cost.
  • Once you are notified of the scholarship amount (if funded), that dollar amount will be deducted from your remaining balance prior to departure thus, you are responsible for the 10% deposit and then the remaining balance of the total cost MINUS your scholarship.

GCAC’S SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION REVIEW PROCESS/TIMELINE:

  • The scholarship committee will review applications within 30 days of submission.
  • Once reviewed, applicants will receive notification directly from a member of the scholarship committee which may be done via phone or email or both.
  • The applicant is responsible for checking their email periodically and respond if needed as a committee member may also contact you for additional information.
